Packing List
Personal Trekking Gear
Each team member should bring with them lightweight equipment of good quality. Below you’ll find a packing list covering the personal equipment required for the trek. As far as we are concerned, you don’t need any additional gear. Excess clothes and luggage can be stored in Ranikhet during the trek.
New trekking equipment can be very costly and we encourage all teams to check with family and friends before spending money on new equipment. The two most important items are your trekking boots and your backpack.
For low altitude treks in the dry season low cut/lightweight trekking shoes are OK, but for high altitude treks that may involve snowy conditions and rain, we do recommend proper trekking boots.
Your backpack should be of minimum 60-65 litres for ladies and 70-75 litres for men, and should have proper padding and a solid waist strap. It should be suitable for 6 - 8 day treks and be in good condition.
Note:
-
Himalayan Adventures will provide the items in the packing list that are underlined. You do not need to bring this gear to India.
-
Himalayan Adventures will also provide tents, kitchen gear and additional equipment needed for the trek.
